The solid-liquid separation is the crucial last step in most ZLD processes, because here the remaining water is separated from the solid, in most cases salts.
Dewatering is usually done with decanters, SHORTBOWL decanters, pusher centrifuges and CONTURBEX centrifuges. For dewatering of coarse residue, our HSG vibratory centrifuges have proven successful.
